HOMG!

A third book in the Life as We Knew It/the dead & the gone set! With recurring characters from those books! And a plot instead of a series of disasters! And rebuilt-society-after-world-changing-disaster!

Why didn't any of you people tell me about this?

You all fail.

I can't wait until Spring 10.

In some of the more recent posts on the subject Pfeffer basically addressed the fact that the first and second books were less plot driven and more disaster driven. And while that really worked for the first book, it worked...not as well for the second book. I still loved it, because that's the way I am, but it didn't come close to LAWKI. She says that this book is going to have a plot, and take place sixteen years after the disaster, and be about the rebuilt society, and ooooh. That's my favorite kind of post-apoc. I didn't think she could do anything to get me as excited as I was when I found out there was going to be a disaster book in NYC, but she did.

I felt the same way about the second one.

Me too. But I loved the first.
