Swords! Fencing! Hurrah!

We held the swords (the foils) for the first time today, in fencing. It was wonderful! Most of the class was all cringy and afraid and "these are scary! you could get hurt with these!" but me and two other girls were having a great time, quoting movies ("My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." and "I am the greatest swordsman that ever lived . . ." etc etc). I love the feel of the foil. I want to learn to be a master swordswoman, to use it with ease and really know what I'm doing.
I love fencing!
