The Great Debate/Elgin Marbles

penmageSo we had the Great Debate.
We wiped the floor with them. Well, no, that's actually not true - they were pretty well prepared as well - but Prof. Stenhouse agreed with us. We fought it out, and then asked him who won. He asked each side if they had been convinced, and neither side had. He looked at us, and said "well, you're side has more people . . ." (talking to us). To which they replied "but you divided us up!". Also true. ;).
So we discussed it, etc, but we clearly had won the thing. More glory to our side of the room.
And, we can write a response on the Elgin Marbles. Killing two assignments with one set of research.
