Gacked from

And mine are:
caffiene dragons, because of a lovely picture by Annie Huu on Elfwood (which is currently down, or I'd get you the link), that shows mini-dragons half-drunk and collapsed in various poses around a mug of coffee and says "Sleep? Isn't that the substitute for caffiene?", which basically describes my philosophy, some days.
doors into other worlds, because, well, dude. I don't think that one needs explaining.
dream librarians and dream libraries, mostly because of Sandman. okay, fine, entirely because of Sandman. Since the moment I discovered the Dream Library I've been pining to read some of those lovely never-written books...
historical science fiction, which is my latest addiction. Connie Willis (The Doomsday Book, To Say Nothing of the Dog), who I want to be. Kage Baker(In The Garden of Iden, et al), who is just fun. If anyone thinks of any more lovely historical SF, please tell me - I'm always looking for more. It combines two of my passions - history and SF - what could be better?
medieval politics, because I love them. They intrigue me. I love wrapping my mind around the intrigues. Glory.
richard iii's innocence, which started because of Josephine Tey and The Daughter of Time (highly recommended, you all have to read it) and continued far, far beyond. I <3 my Richard.
tonypandy, which is a town in Wales as well as an idea in Josephine Tey's The Daughter of Time. Read the book.
walking away from omelas is something I share with one other.
