I've posted so many times today that you all must be sick of me.

So I was in the lounge tonight, talking to someone with Smallville in the background, and two girls came in with two trayfuls of hours d'ouvres - leftovers from a meeting or somesuch. A few minutes later, another two girls came in with two trays - one piled with sandwiches, another piled with wraps - leftovers frm some other event.

So I'm getting up, about to go back upstairs and continue writing about the hated Mussolini when a group of girls come in and start eyeing the free food.

Them: What is this?
Me: Free food.
Them: I don't get it. Why is it here?
Me: (totally deadpan) It's poisoned. There's a bed shortage in the dorms, so they figure if they leave poisoned food out, people will eat it, and die, and that will solve the problem, see.

And then I walked out.
