strike!

There's going to be a transit strike. I'm going to cry. On the other hand, it's going to be mighty interesting to see the whole city shut down. There's going to be no subway or busses or express busses. Hear me say doom doom doom.

My roomate Sara told me that Mayor Bloomberg said that during the strike everyone should hitchhike and it'll be perfectly safe, because traffic will be moving so slowly and there'll be so many people around on the roads that if anyone tries anything you'll have no problem jumping out of the car. o.O

Our RA, Racheli, just came in to find out who will be affected by the strike, ie not able to get back to school on time. Apparently the strike might start on sunday or monday, and they're pondering cancelling classes on monday. Which might be good, becasue then I have an extra two days for my philosophy paper. But which might mean class during reading week, which is bad.

I'm very curious to see what will happen to the city without public transportation. New York runs on public transportation. Man, I'm going to cry. And wait with interest to see what happens.

Now that's just disturbing somehow. Hope things turn out alright!
